The Judicial Council of BC is inviting lawyers with at least five years’ experience practising law as a member of the Law Society of BC to apply for appointment as a Provincial Court judicial justice. Lawyers with less legal practice experience may be considered if they have a range of related experience.
On June 23, 2018 Bill Veenstra, President of the Canadian Bar Association BC Branch (CBABC), awarded its President’s Medal to Justice Thomas Crabtree, former Chief Judge of the Provincial Court of BC, for his outstanding contributions to the legal profession and the administration of justice in British Columbia.
This month, Courthouse Libraries BC (“CLBC”) will add a new initiative to the wide array of services it provides to lawyers and the public – a program to connect junior lawyers to mentorship opportunities.
