A one-hour interactive webinar

February 24, 2022 at 12:45 pm

The Provincial Court of BC offers a huge variety of information for litigants on its website. To help people and groups who support litigants make the best use of our resources, the Court will present a one-hour interactive webinar, hosted by Courthouse Libraries BC, on Thursday, February 24 at 12:45.

We think it will be of interest to everyone who gives information to people about Provincial Court matters – advocates, intermediaries, frontline service providers, librarians, teachers, law students, and lawyers. Younger lawyers and general practitioners with little experience in Provincial Court may also discover useful guides and tools. (Law Society members attending the session may claim up to 1hr of CPD.)

Chief Judge Melissa Gillespie, Judge Kathryn Ferriss, and Judge Kristen Mundstock will use a fictional case to highlight some of the Court's resources for litigants navigating proceedings in the Provincial Court. Topics will include information on the type of matters the Court handles, what to expect in court, and how to prepare for both in-person and virtual court appearances. The webinar will include a question period.
