Happy New Year! Last year’s eNews articles featuring paintings of BC courthouses and introducing their artists stimulated interest in this special genre. As a result, we’re able to share three more courthouse paintings – including one by a judge!
BC courts continued to expand their use of social media to interact with the public when the Provincial Court of BC’s Chief Judge Melissa Gillespie hosted the province’s Chief Justice, Robert Bauman, and Jennifer Muller, a former self-represented litigant (SRL), in a live Twitter Town Hall on October 28, 2019.
On August 31, 2019, Judge Tina Dion was the honoured recipient of the Law and Justice Award at the 24th annual Aboriginal Role Models of Alberta awards gala. The event is presented by the Enoch Cree Nation and held each year on their lands.
