Judicial Case Managers are an extension of the Provincial judiciary, and shall:
- be bound by the Code of Ethics of the Justices of the Peace of the Province of British Columbia;
- not show favouritism or prejudice towards anyone;
- be forthright, honest, courteous, and cooperative;
- respect confidentiality;
- not pre-judge the accused nor encroach on his/her rights;
- ensure that due process of law be as expeditious as possible;
- endeavour to schedule trials to minimize inconvenience to all parties;
- dress in accordance with accepted court practice;
- understand and adhere to the limitations of the office; and
- conduct themselves in a professional manner at all times.
