Example of a video proceeding on MS Teams

Judges demonstrate what you would see in a BC Provincial Court video conference or hearing using MS Teams. You would see yourself in the small box in the lower right corner. In the larger boxes on the screen you would see the judge, the other litigants, and any lawyers taking part.

Affidavits

Unsworn and unaffirmed affidavits may be filed with requests for family hearings – see Notice to the Profession and Public COVID 19: Resumption of Court Operations for more information about affidavits in family and small claims matters.

During the pandemic affidavits may be sworn or affirmed using video technology. See Revised NP 20 - Affidavits for use in Provincial Court Proceedings for details.
